Playing Host To Saudi Students

Kuala Lumpur, April, 2012 - The Language Institute (TLI) of UCSI Professional Academy has again welcomed nine students from the Military Industrial Training Centre for the Ministry of Defense, Saudi Arabia. It is always a pleasure hosting our friends from the Middle East and we trust that we will host many more groups from Saudi Arabia here at TLI.

The main reason for their visit to TLI is to improve their English proficiency, which will help them communicate more effectively and be interactive with the many international clients they deal with on a daily basis.

For most of them this is their first venture outside the Middle East, so it is with great anticipation that they have joined us, not only for a learning experience but a cultural experience as well.  Fortunately, all of them have adapted well to their "home" for the next 3 months.

The experience students gained at TLI is not exclusive to the learning of language alone but crosses social and cultural experiences.

"I like being at TLI because I get to know people from many different countries. This makes it easier for me to practice my English," said Alghamdi Abdullah Ali M, who is at Level 3 in the course.

The students also find learning English easy and fun due to the tutors' ability to conduct the class in a contextual and creative way. At TLI, students learn language through a non-traditional approach.

"The classes here are a lot of fun especially when teachers take us out of the classroom to practice what we have learnt," added Asiri Abdulrahman Mohamed I, who is at Level 4.

We trust that TLI has not only provided students with valuable English language skills but more than that. They will be able to take with them a very memorable experience and fond memories of their time here with us.
