The talk on Optic Fiber Sensors was held at UCSI University and was presented by Professor Dr Perry and Jing Zhang (Final Year PhD Student) from NTU (Nanyang Technological University), Singapore, representing the IEEE Photonics Society.

More than 40 participants including staff and students from various engineering disciplines attended the talk. Both the speakers shared their research knowledge focusing on the current trends and technologies involved in the manufacturing process, the testing and design and advanced application of optical fiber sensors.

The IEEE-HKN Mu Alpha Chapter is grateful for the speakers’ visits and their effort in sharing knowledge to students and staff. It is hoped that there will be more collaborations with NTU in the future.

This event was jointly organised by IEEE-HKN Mu Alpha Chapter UCSI University, IEEE RAS Malaysia Chapter, IEEE Photonics Society NTU and UCSI University IET On Campus.
