UCSI’s School of IT organises Photo Management Workshop

KUALA LUMPUR: UCSI’s School of IT and the IT Student Association (ITSA) recently collaborated to organise a Photo Management Workshop. The workshop aimed to better utilise digital photos through proper organising techniques which are particularly useful for projects and presentation slides.

The advent of digital photos is one of the advantages of technology and due to this nearly no one develops photos anymore. Instead, photos are stored, sometimes haphazardly, in hard disks, pen drives, and so on.

Conducted by Tai Chong Poh, the founder of Ecaz Studio, the workshop included tips on how to create events that accommodate tens of thousands of photos and how to create keywords to make it easier to search for photos and events stored. The workshop also touched on tips using the iPhoto software that comes free with Macintosh devices.

The president of ITSA, Mok who is also a Computing degree student found the workshop particularly useful to students.

“It is indeed a great privilege to learn from Mr Tai and now, we have a different and better way to manage our photos.”

The workshop also unveiled the winner of a recent Facebook Contest held in conjunction with the event. Five other lucky students walked away with prizes during the workshop. The prizes were sponsored by Tristar Digital Sdn. Bhd.

At the end of the workshop, participants got a sneak peak at a highly anticipated smartphone apps development workshop that will be coming soon.

UCSI’s School of IT is an integral part of the Faculty of Business and Information Science.
