UCSI Psychology Lecturers Give Workshop At The 7th ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies and 3rd MIPC (Malaysian International Psychology Conference)

UCSI University's Department of Psychology lecturers Crendy Tan Yen Teng and Dr Zhooriyati Binti Sehu Mohamad conducted a workshop titled "The Power of the Subconscious Mind & Self-Exploration" at the 7th ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) Congress and the 3rd Malaysian International Psychology Conference (MIPC) that took place on 2nd August 2019 at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

It has been proven that thoughts and emotions influence a person's behaviour. Hence a person with a positive mindset will experience more positive experiences such as happiness and healthy self-esteem.

A total of 25 academicians and practitioners attended this workshop. Participants were given the opportunity to self-explore and identified their thinking styles and unconscious thoughts and learnt how to apply 'positive psychology' techniques to enhance positivity within themselves, how to utilize the power of their unconscious mind in daily life and lastly, how to change negative thinking to positive thinking.

The feedback from the participants was very positive. It is with the hope that the workshop has encouraged participants to understand their subconscious minds better and explore their strengths and weaknesses in becoming a better person.
