UCSI receives visit from Feng Chia University

UCSI University’s Faculty of Business and Information Science recently welcomed a group of Taiwanese postgraduate students from Feng Chia University’s Graduate Institute of Management and Technology, led by Professor Dr Wen-Hsiang Lai from the Department of Business Administration.

They were greeted by Associate Professor Dr Choo Wou Onn, Deputy Dean; Assistant Professor Siti Norida Binti Wahab, Head of Department for Logistics Management; and lecturer Ho Min Yoong who also hosted the sharing session on the study of logistics management with the delegation.

Feng Chia sends their students on annual visits abroad to leading universities in countries like Australia, Japan and Singapore to facilitate knowledge exchange. This year, they have elected to visit only one private institution in Malaysia.

“We approached UCSI because of its good reputation and its thriving international student population,” said Prof Dr Lai, who also extended an invitation to UCSI to visit his university in return. “I believe that today’s exchange has helped our students to gain a global perspective on their studies and broaden their horizons beyond the walls of Feng Chia.”

Both institutions have earmarked the potential for future collaborations specifically in student exchange programmes.
