UCSI Robotic Club Organises Arduino Train-The-Trainer Workshop

The UCSI Robotic Club organised a two day training session for teachers from five participating schools in Kuala Lumpur and UCSI students later appointed as Arduino mentors.

The training included basic and advanced Arduino Programming as well as briefing for The Young Innovator Challenge 2018 competition which will be held in August 2018.

This is the 2nd year that UCSI students are involved in this programme where they are given free training on Arduino to enhance their competency.

After the training, they will be given the opportunity to mentor school students through the design process staring with ideation, to prototyping, and later in presentation and pitching skills.

The workshop contributed to the learning of UCSI Engineering students by providing them a platform to learn and share their knowledge in the field of Electronic Engineering.

Through this experience, students got to work on various concepts of the ideation process while developing prototypes, learning problem solving and devising technologies towards environmental protection and sustainability.

The development of Arduino-based technology or any microcontroller-based technology is tremendous. It helps students to engage in design and innovative thinking which are crucial in the Engineering field as well as valuable life skills.
