UCSI SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH COLLEGE IN CHINA TO TEACH ENGLISH


KUALA LUMPUR, Wednesday 3 August 2005 - UCSI (University College Sedaya International) has recently signed an agreement to introduce its English Language teaching curriculum at Guangzhou International Economic College (GIEC) in China.
GIEC’s Chief Executive Officer, Kuang Zeng Chong said the agreement enables the institution, one of the top 50 best private schools in Guangzhou, to collaborate with UCSI in providing quality English language courses.

“We view this as a good collaboration between two major institutions of higher learning and our management will see to its successful implementation,” he said. “We have seen UCSI’s teaching curriculum being implemented successfully in Malaysia, Bangladesh and Indonesia.” 

The college, located Guangzhou amidst the scenic Baiyun mountains, currently offers a wide range of programmes in Business English, Accounting, Computer Science, E-Commerce, International Business, Tourism & Hotel Management, among others.
Signing on behalf of UCSI was its President and Vice Chancellor, Peter Ng, who congratulated GIEC for its successful opening in 2004. “Despite being just slightly over a year,” he said, “GIEC has spread its wings and selected some of the best institutions to be its partners, and UCSI is proud to have this collaboration with GIEC. We view this as mutually beneficial.”
