UCSI signs MoC with Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) aim to develop talents in Financial service industry.


KUALA LUMPUR, 23 February 2022 – UCSI University and Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) signs the Memorandum of Cooperation to encourage talent development in the financial service industry.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed by UCSI Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and UCSI University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ir Ts Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir and Chief Executive Officer, Finance Accreditation Agency, Mr Khairul Nizam today at UCSI University.

With the partnership, talents will benefit in terms of upgrading their abilities and being prepared to accept the ever-changing digital environment.

"The pandemic has hastened our adoption of digital banking in our everyday lives." Our graduates and professionals, particularly those in the financial sector, must keep up with current trends and cutting-edge digital tools. At UCSI, we continually produce career-ready individuals by offering courses that are relevant, practical, and consistent,” said Vice-Chancellor of UCSI University, Professor Datuk Ir Ts Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir.

"I'm glad that FAA shares the same goal as us, to enable graduates and professionals to pursue lifelong learning as a means of advancing their professions. With the partnership, we are able to assist financial services industry professionals who have attended learning programmes elsewhere to credit transfer through the APEL C Certificate at UCSI. Thus, they can have reduction on tuition fee and shorten the time to complete their study " She added.

"This mechanism enables working adults, particularly those in the financial services industry, to return to higher education from the workplace and to gain recognition for learning already undertaken from accredited programmes as well as other formal, non-formal, and informal learning," said Mr Khairul Nizam, Chief Executive Officer of the Finance Accreditation Agency.

“I would like to thank UCSI for making this collaboration possible as well as for making UCSI as one of the strongest supporters of FAA. Besides talent development and quality learning, I also hope that this will be an opportunity for both organisations to work on events and activities aimed at promoting quality learning in the financial services industry and providing a platform for employees to prepare for the industry's future needs,” added Mr Khairul.
