UCSI Students Benefit from SPSS Workshop


UCSI University’s Logistics Student Association (LSA) recently organised an SPSS workshop with Faculty of Business and Information Science Assistant Professor, Rohana Sham as the main speaker.

Approximately 80 students from different departments got the chance to participate in this workshop. SPSS software was provided to all participants.

Students learned that the SPSS statistics software package is used for logical batched and non-batched statistical analysis. The application of SPSS is valuable and useful particularly for students who are taking or going to take the Final Year Project especially using quantitative methods as their research method. Furthermore, SPSS knowledge proves to be a valuable skill to add into students’ resumes.

Besides that, the application of SPSS such as how to key in data collected, and new findings were also taught by Assistant Professor Rohana Sham.

The workshop was practical and relevant for many students and the talk on SPSS was delivered in a simple and concise manner to enable students to understand the content better.
