Congratulations Assistant Professor Dr Sheiladevi Sukumaran and Sharmanee Thiagarajah from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for winning the Best Video Presenter Award at the International Conference on Education, Humanities and Technology Research from 28 to 29 August 2021 together with Dr Bavani Naido, an MSc (Healthy Aging, Aesthetics & Regenerative Medicine) alumni. They beat 48 video presentations with their presentation titled, “Knowledge Perception and Willingness to Pay for Cord Blood Banking: A Pilot Study”.

Congratulations to Associate Professor Dr Cheah Shiau Chuen and Dr Siak Pui Yan from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for successfully publishing an impactful article titled “Current Status and Future Perspectives about Molecular Biomarkers of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma” in the Cancers (Q1, IF 6.639).

The article gives an insight to readers on the progress of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma biomarker discovery to date, as well as future prospective biomarker development and their translation to clinical use.

This research was supported by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS/1/2020/SKK0/UCSI/02/2) and UCSI University Research Excellence and Innovation (REIG-FMS-2020/009).
