Biography

Nur Iman Hashim is a lecturer at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM), UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus. He is a Master holder in Hospitality Management (2016) from MARA University of Technology and is currently pursuing his PhD in Management at the International Islamic University College of Selangor. Apart from that, he also holds a Degree in Food Service Management (2011) as well as a Diploma in Food Service Management (2009), awarded by MARA University of Technology. Currently, he is active in research works linked to the hospitality industry with a concentration on operations management, innovation adoption, business sustainability, and competitive advantage.

In terms of his professional background, he has worked for The Chicken Rice Shop (2006), Sushi King Restaurant (2009), Killiney Kopitiam Damansara (2011), Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Kuala Lumpur (2013), and several educational institutions such as Cybernetics International College of Technology (2012), Innovative International College (2014), and SEGi University (2017) before joining UCSI University in 2022.

In addition, he is also a lifetime member of the Association of Malaysian Researchers and Social Services, a fellow of the Halal Advisory Research Institute Selangor, an advisory member of Jang & Jones Dining, and a previous member of De-Moccis Boutique Hotel Kuala Lumpur's advisory committee.
