MALAYSIA CULINARY WORLD CUP 2023 COOKING COMPETITION - SILVER & BRONZE MEDAL

Congratulations to Muhammad Syamil Suhaidin for winning one Silver and one Bronze Medal in the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2023: Cooking Competition, held at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 21 to 23 February 2023.

SILVER RIBBON & BRONZE RIBBON

Congratulations to Darren Darien Naen, Clarence Voon Kai Le, Kenny Lai Chee Chiang and Eunice Teo Ee for being the 1st and 2nd runner up in the recent “Pesta Lada 2022” cooking competition. The competition was organised by the Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) in conjunction with the Pepper Festival 2022 at Plaza Merdeka, Kuching.

WINNING THE GOLD MEDAL

Congratulations to Kenny Lai Chee Chiang for winning the Gold Medal in the Sarawak International Culinaire Challenge (SICC 2.0) concurrent with E.A.T: Taste of Borneo Conference at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

BATTLE OF THE CHEFS

Congratulations Kenny Lai Chee Chiang (Gold) and Darren Kuan Ho Yi (Bronze), for winning the Battle of the Chefs 2022 organised by the Penang Chefs Association, at Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang. A special thank you to the Kuching Chefs Association for sponsoring our students for the competition.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE CHALLENGE RULES BOOK

Congratulations to Nurul Farah Aisyah Mohd Fauzi (Gold), Joey Chong Hui Ling (Gold), Gan Yi Ann (Silver), Chung Kar Mun (Bronze) and Eng Jing Fu (Bronze), for winning the Food and Beverage Challenge Rules Book (Category: Malaysian Welcome Drinks). The competition was organised by the Malaysia's Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism Show (MAHA) 2022 at MAEPS Serdang.

1ST RUNNER UP IN THE US POTATOES COOKING COMPETITION 2022

Congratulations to Youssef and Wai Hong for being the 1st Runner Up in the US Potatoes Cooking Competition 2022, under the supervision of Assistant Professor (Chef) Loke Hoi Weng and Assistant Professor (Chef) Mohamad Fadzly Che Omar. The competition was held at UOW Malaysia, KDU Glenmarie Campus, Shah Alam and our winners brought home a cash prize worth RM2,000.

THE ONLY MALAYSIAN TEAM IN THE TOP THREE

The team won third place at the Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi) Global student Forum 2021 Innovation Challenge. They are the only Malaysian team to be named among the top three winners in this global contest.
