UCSI celebrates its athletes, who put on a great show at the Sukan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi (SUKIPT 2022), held at UPSI Universiti Tanjung Malim, Perak (12-21 August 2022). The team brought home 15 Golds, 6 Silvers, 4 Bronzes, and emerged as the overall champion for the swimming competition. UCSI University was ranked 2nd among IPTS and ranked 5th among 66 IPTs.
Another milestone for UCSI’s Tan Sri Omar Centre for STI Policy Studies was revealed with the Centre’s Eminent Person Lecture series recently. Mr. MR Chandran, a 60-year veteran of the plantations industry, gave an excellent analysis of how the palm oil industry can continue to demonstrate resilience and sustainability in the face of mounting global threats. The facts he presented leave no doubt in everyone’s mind that palm oil is truly nature’s gift to the world.
UCSI University was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from Dr. Ibrahim Babani, Minister (Consular & Education), High Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Malaysia.
Both parties discussed on ways to enhance and deepen their relationship and explored various collaboration models, including collaboration with universities in Nigeria. Opportunities for scholarships and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) would be further promoted to enhance employability and capacity building of the nation. Dr. Ibrahim and his delegates were greeted by the UCSI University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Siti Hamisah Binti Tapsir and UCSI Group Chief Strategic Officer, Mr. Sheikh Fahmy Bin Sheikh Mohamed.
This OPS public talk entitled 'A Pathway To Improve H-index and Citation Count' shared on the things a person should and should not do, to improve the H-index and citation count. Professor Ooi shared 10 important points for both categories, among of them are - choosing the right journal, ensuring there's no plagiarism, title length, keywords and more.
ARTMOSPHERE is a design portfolio exhibition organised by the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD) students at UCSI University. It aims to showcase the wonderful works of our final year students through an exhibition.
41 students from FPT University Vietnam joined UCSI’s Mobility Programme on English Language, from 3rd to 31st August 2022.
Participants consisting of sports athletes and students from UCSI University and UCSI College were lucky to experience a personal 1.5-hours tower running workshop with the world’s number one tower runner Mr Soh Wai Ching. The event that took place at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur Campus on Aug 3, 2022, was divided into two sessions; starting with a motivational talk by Soh Wai Ching on “The Power of Self-Belief” followed by a sport clinic - tower running from the ground floor of Block G up to the 12th floor.

UCSI University has launched a book that offers a new perspective on the education system in Malaysia. The book titled, “Issues and Ideas in Education for The New Malaysia,” was written by UCSI University’s School of Architecture and Built Environment Professor Dr Mohd Tajuddin Mohd Rasdi with the aim to achieve a better nation and unity. The book launch was also witnessed by UCSI Group Founder and CEO Dato' Peter Ng.
