Using computational molecular docking and pharmacokinetics along with an experimental approach with three different models (in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo), the team discovered the antidiabetic effect of Palmatine in modulating the key proteins of the insulin signalling pathway, making it a potential therapeutic agent in the treatment and management of diabetes.

This project will be developing a new and sustainable insect-meal aquafeed for marine finfish aquaculture.
