The award was presented at the International Business and Academic Excellence (IBAE) Awards 2019.

Their paper title was “Implementation of Experiential Learning Based Assignment in Engineering Management Course”. It discussed the application of new teaching and learning pedagogy in the course “Engineering Economics and Management”.

Assistant Professor Ir Dr Mahmud Iwan Solihin | Faculty of Engineering, Technology & Built EnvironmentIt was truly an honour and a motivating moment for Assistant Professor Ir Dr Mahmud Iwan Solihin as he received the Best Paper Award at the ICETIR 2019 (International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovative Researches).
Dr Iwan’s paper was entitled “Development of Non-Destructive Mango Assessment Based on Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Machine Learning Regression”.

DR RAMEZ CONFERRED TWO GOLD MEDAL AWARDS FOR HIS PROJECT
Dr Ramez Al-Ezzi Abduljalil Al-Mansob | Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built EnvironmentCongratulations to Dr Ramez Al-Ezzi Abduljalil Al-Mansob upon receiving two Gold Medal awards for the project of “Epoxidized Natural Rubber (ENR) Modified Bitumen and Asphalt Mixture.”
The awards were conferred to him at the 3rd Advanced Innovation & Engineering Exhibition (AiNEX 2019) in University Malaysia Pahang and Sarawak Innovation & Technology Exhibition 2019 (SAINTEX 2.0) for the University and Fundamental Research category last July.
MOHD FADHIL MAJNIS IS NOW A MEMBER OF INSTITUTION OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS (ICHEME), ENGINEERING COUNCIL UK
Mohd Fadhil bin Majnis | Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built EnvironmentFaculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment lecturer, Mohd Fadhil bin Majnis from the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering received the Chartered Chemical Engineer qualification on 25th June 2019.
The award was conferred to him by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Engineering Council UK.
The membership in IChemE makes Fadhil part of a respected learned society with more than 37,000 members in over 100 countries. Chartered Engineers registered with the UK Engineering Council mark a commitment to professional standards exercising responsibilities in an ethical manner as stipulated by the framework of the UK Standard of Professional Engineering Competence.

Assistant Professor Dr Lim Wei Hong | Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built EnvironmentIt was an honour for Assistant Professor Dr Lim Wei Hong, lecturer from Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering when he was awarded the Chartered Engineer qualification through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on June 13, 2019.
This achievement also enables him to be registered by the Engineering Council, United Kingdom and authorised to use the title of Chartered Engineer.

Mohd Fauzi Zanil | Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built EnvironmentUCSI’s Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment lecturer Mohd Fauzi Zanil won the best paper award in the 2018 IEEE 4th International Symposium on Robotics and Manufacturing Automation (IEEE ROMA 2018).
The symposium was organised by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society - Malaysia Chapter in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College, Perambalur, TN, India.
His paper was entitled “Modified Meta-Heuristic Bee Colony Optimisation In The Polymerisation of Propylene”.
